Just returned from the garage.  Mixed feelings.  We lost one today.  Despite our best efforts this wheel could not be saved.  We tried everything in our arsenal.

But the good news is that we can perform a rim replacement operation.  The hub and spokes are in great shape.  And you can be comforted in knowing that the old rim will find its way to metal recycling or may become a piece of art.

We did manage to rehabilitate two other wheels, which we hope will be out on the road soon.
