Cross Training

I’ve had this DVD sitting on the shelf for some time.  Finally dusted it off this afternoon for some mind-body-breath integration.  Discovery:  yoga is difficult.  Feels like I did a moderate workout. But after doing the routine I feel pretty good. Especially the relaxation at the end.  Found myself in another world there for a few minutes.

Identified some ultra tight muscles and tendons.  Those nasty old hip flexors for one.  Hamstrings being the other. Hoping this will improve flexibility.

It’s also about balance.  Not just the act of staying oriented but balancing the strength of the body.  Certain athletics tend to over develop parts of the body.  Yoga brings the body back into balance.

Namaste
