Feng Shui

Spent the afternoon at Yellow Bike helping with our shop floor reorganization.  We attempted a little feng shui to provide more work space and to apply some logic to tool and part organization.  The specialty tools are consolidated and easier to get at.  We also moved all the small parts bins into the appropriate parts bays.  We got rid of a couple shelves that were just collecting junk.

This gives us more space for the bike racks up front and provides better traffic flow between the work stands.

And we did a little general house keeping and pushed back against the entropy that comes with bins of parts and components.  I think that the unsorting fairies visit each night to practice some mischief.  Others think that the parts moved themselves around when the lights are out.

I like this new configuration.  Can’t wait to see it in action.
