We actually had a few kids show up to our second “kids shop” (Old Guy post 7/10/2012). We had enough coordinators available to almost do one-on-one instruction. Hubs got repacked, flats got fixed, wheels were trued…big progress towards functioning bicycles.
I had a blast. We got some appreciative comments from parents and a promise to spread the word about these shops. I hope we can sustain this.
5 kids, 5 coordinators… um there’s no almost there…
those kids were generally pretty exceptional also…
yeah… that shop felt pretty damn awesome.
and some of the best shops are when I learn something…that trick for finding new hub cone is awesome
For the last year or so, whenever I ride on Metric I expect to see you. Yesterday it finally happened at the light at Parmer. :-p
Were you in the bright neon jersey coming south?
Yep. Bit too busy for a toot of the air horn. I don’t normally travel that early, but I saw rain coming.
Applause!!
