I have a couple of regular riding partners. I’m being generous about the regular thing. They seem to be fair weather riders and I rarely see them on cloudy days and never at night. They need to work on their loyalty. I mean, after all, they wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for me (and the big thermonuclear ball in the sky). But I’ll introduce you anyway.
Gabby
Most of his stories are enjoyable but some of them stretch credibility a bit. He calls those ones “semi-true.” There are times when his chatting degrades to mumbling and talking to himself about how old and out of shape he is. He is constantly stopping to take pictures, grab a snack or just because. Sometimes you have to remind him there’s no reason to call out “car up!” on a divided highway. He means well but there are times…
Lead Man
Awesome navigation skills. Really good at calling out hazards in the road. Always ready to take the lead and sets a steady pace. The only problem is that it’s useless to draft off him. Don’t know why but riding behind him feels like riding out front. Looks like a big guy so he should be cutting the wind but it’s like he isn’t even there.

When are we going to ride? I guarantee that you’ll be able to draft off me
for some reason I had the impression that you lived down south…turns out we’re real close
the only reason we can’t get a few rides in would be my chaotic life (who said retirement gives you more time)
hey, those guys on twitter?
next time I see them, I’ll ask
I love it. Great minds think alike I’d say. Glad you pointed me over here from Loving The Bike.
